I generally love Mexican restaurants but this one disappointed me just a bit. The pros: each guest is given a little salsa bowl so you can double dip, quick service, ample side portions of beans and rice. The cons: My husband felt a little sick afterward so that's why I didn't give it another star. And the menu was a little limited from what I am used to at my local Mexican restaurant. However, the food was still good. I ate my two enchiladas without complaint and the chili poblano was a little different, so that was a nice surprise. I'm guessing if I returned to this place again, we might have a slightly better experience so if you're wanting standard Mexican, then I would recommend trying it out.

I enjoyed this particular Mexican restaurant because the atmosphere is great and the staff is very friendly. We got take out tonight and it was ready in only 15 minutes. That is another reason Mexican food is great, quick and delicious. One entrée that we ordered was the Cebollas Steak/Shrimp and the another one was the Cebollas Chicken Burrito. Our order also included the chips and salsa and might I add the salsa was spicy! Yum! The Chicken Burrito came with fried beans and rice as sides. It also had sour cream on top. It was a wonderful dish, well prepared and tasty. The overall, experience has been good and we hope to come back soon.

Love the chimichangas here. Excellent authentic Mexican food. Good selection of Mexican beers and good sized margaritas. Great for kids too. You CANNOT go wrong here.

The service here was hands down some of the worst service I've ever had in a restaurant. Our waiter sat us down and brought us our water. We waited for so long for him to come back to take our order that we asked someone else. Once the order was placed it took about 12 minutes or so to get the food, so that part was speedy. The waiter never checked on us, he never refilled our water, and he never brought a check. We sat waiting a good chunk of the time we were there. The atmosphere was noisy, and the tables were dirty. I tried to tell someone about it, and all I got back was "Oh, I'm sorry to hear about that...." The food was okay, but nothing to rave about. There are better places in the area with better food and better service.

Shocking how good this place was. I never expected to find such authentic Mexican food in the middle of northern Indiana, but there it was. I've got one more business trip up there this year, and I have no doubt I'll be eating at Cebollas. I had the Tijuana Enchiladas (think that's what they were called), and they were outstanding. Everything made fresh in-house. Cooked perfectly. Tasted delicious. Do not miss.

Good food, good service, and good prices. Loved the guacamole and queso. Had the enchiladas, which were delicious

Ordered a pitcher of margaritas....flavored, not frozen and it tasted more like the flavored syrup and tequila. It needed to be mixed, and then it just tasted like tequila. So we ordered some club soda to fix it, after that it was decent. The fajitas were good, and so was the Mexican rice and beans, so was the guacamole. The chips are light, fresh and crisp. I would visit again because it's a decent little restaurant and very close to where I stay. Next time I will just get the frozen, flavored margaritas. Or the regular flavor on the rocks.

Service and margaritas were excellent. Atmosphere was really loud. We were sat next to a large party with children ranging from 1-7 and the parents had no expectation to keep them contained in a public place. They ran around the table and screamed for the better part of 30 minutes. Food was mediocre and prepared with entirely too many peppers and onions. I will try another Mexican restaurant and probably not return here.

The food was good, but the atmosphere and service were excellent. This is an extremely well managed operation.

It seems like Cebollas dominates the Mexican choices in Fort Wayne so this is where we usually go when we want Mexi food. Nothing spectacular here, it's decent but not the best I've had. Service is ok as well.

I used to live in FTW and this place was a weekly must! I have stopped back in since and I have enjoyed the food every time. Not like eating in Mexico but a solid option in NE Indiana.

Great Mexican food. Order the queso! The beef chimichanga was really good too. The only negative was that it was freezing in the restaurant.

I have been there the past 2 Sundays for the brunch buffet. I needed a reason to go back, so I took a different group of people this past Sunday :) The restaurant is kind of small, so you feel packed in - expecially with the brunch going on. Perhaps one of the other locations are more spacious. I did not get to eat all of the items (not for lack of trying), but I had a taste for Mexican, so I did not eat the American offerings. If you order the buffet, you still get chips and salsa brought to your table. The refried beans were a little runny, but when I mixed them with the Spanish rice, they were easy to dip and eat with a chip - that's how I like to do it. The brunch also had burritos, enchiladas, make your own tacos with shredded beef or chicken, or ground beef. They had a salad bar, fruit, made-to-order omelets, french toast, garlic mashed potatoes, sausage, bacon, eggs with diced ham, assortment of cakes which were super moist, and a coconut drink and strawberry drink. I am sure I am forgetting something - so I had better go back this Sunday :) Everything was pretty good, service was a little slow because they were busy - but not bad at all. A lot of people were ordering off the menu even though they had the brunch buffet - ha ha! I will chose all I can eat any day. Price was good at $9.99 and that included the drink.

Average Mexican food. For 5 star Mexican visit Rick Bayless in Chicago.

I now live in Indianapolis and haven't been able to find a Mexican restaurant that compares to Cebollas. Awesome service, great chips and salsa, fantastic margaritas, and all reasonably priced. I am going back to Fort Wayne tomorrow and can't wait to visit Cebollas again!

I don't know, I wish I could write a good review, but I just can't. Food and service are mediocre. I love Mexican food - I mean seriously love - and I live less than a mile from this place and have only been here once in the past year....because it's fine, but not good. Still searching for decent Mexican in Fort Wayne.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
